Women from more than 15 local churches across Patrick County worshipped together on February 7-8, 2025 at the first ever Make Us One Women's Conference! This weekend was FULL of fun, fellowship, and glorifying God as ONE Church! Keep Scrolling for a look-back at this wonderful weekend!
We had 3 "Sessions" throughout the weekend, led by women from our community who each shared from a passionate heart for equipping other women.
Session: Finding Unity [even] with Differences
Gabrielle is a Louisiana native who now calls Stuart, VA, home. She accepted Christ at a young age and completely surrendered to Him as a teenager. After college, she spent a semester serving as a missionary in Southeast Asia. After marrying her college sweetheart, Gabrielle went on to earn a Master of Arts and PhD in American History. She currently teaches online for Liberty University and Louisiana Christian University. Gabrielle also enjoys serving her congregation, Homestead Community, while homeschooling her kids.
Session: "Ducks in a Row"
Heather, her college sweetheart, and their 3 kids are planted in the beautiful mountain town of Patrick County, where she grew up, and spends her days ministering to college girls, high school youth, and young families. Heather spent 5 years as a full time missionary, pioneering an inner city ministry to refugee communities in the heart of Charlotte, NC. Heather currently serves as the Director of Family Ministries at Stuart Presbyterian Church and is passionate about Jesus, gathering people around a table, and going on adventures with her family. You can usually find her running down country roads, on the sidelines of her kids and students sporting events or writing in a local coffee.
Session: Forgiveness
Deb is a Florida native who has been delighted to call Patrick County home for the last 6 years. She, her husband Joe, and their three dogs reside in Patrick Springs. She loves the outdoors, reading, deep conversations, and coffee! Deb brings a unique blend of counseling and ministry to the conference. She attended Asbury Seminary and was in ministry as a youth pastor for 10 years. Deb co-founded Homestead Community in Stuart, which is a thriving community of believers. She is also a licensed professional counselor and has owned her own practice, The Refuge Counseling, for the past five years. Deb is passionate about Jesus and the healing He offers!
